Online Missions Giving
In 1976 Lynn and I were living in Brownsville, Texas, At that time we were ministering in churches in Mexico, preaching in outdoor crusades and tent meetings as well as constructing church facilities. At that time we were also helping to raise up Church of the Good Shepherd in Brownsville, Texas working along side of Pastor Gayle Gardner. We also established a youth ministry on Padre Island during all the holidays with Christian concerts and youth witnessing teams to bring the Gospel to the youth. So we were very busy involved with many areas of ministry. However our heart was mostly in Mexico. During these early years of working in Mexico and living on the border, the ministry grew and it was fruitful but God spoke to our hearts and told us He had more for us to do and He wanted us to live in Mexico to accomplish His plan for our lives. We prayed and He gave us the direction of Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He directed us to move there and to establish a Bible School.

In 1979 we moved our family of three (Jeremy was 2) to Ciudad Victoria and we started the Palabra de Vida Bible School with just a few students in our home. At this time we were meeting with local Missionaries on Sunday mornings to have services in English for the fellowship and the Word. It was led by another Missionary and in time he told the group that God had spoken to him to start a Spanish church and so he would be stepping down from his position of leader of the Missionary fellowship. We moved the services to our Bible School facility and we were being blessed as all of us got together to worship Him and hear His Word! Within a few short months we had 5 Mexican women walk in one Sunday morning to attend the service. We explained to them that these services were in English and were attended by Missionary families. The women then asked us if we would be willing to have the services interpreted into Spanish because they were already there to attend the service. So we did interpret the service and next week they were back again. This continued for about 2 more months and each Sunday either the sermon was preached in Spanish or it was interpreted, with the attendance growing weekly. During this time it became a reality to Lynn and I that God wanted us to have a church. It was HIS PLAN and HIS IDEA! From that small beginning of just a handful of Mexican women till today with the church running 2000 members. God has and is  establishing HIS VISION for this ministry.

During the first 11 years of Palabra de Vida Church we Pastored the church along side Pastor Steve and Janine Muse until Pastor Steve went home to be with the Lord. However through our relationship with Pastor Steve Muse we were reaquainted with Pastor Jerry and Ernie Garcia and their family. Before long they joined our staff and are still with us today (16 years later). We are so blessed that God through miracles has always added to us men and women full of God, of vision and integrity to help us to spread the Gospel across Mexico and other Spanish speaking countries. Our praise and worship leader Jorge Tenorio and his family have brought God's glory to our worship services and are a great blessing to the ministry. Jeremy our oldest son and family helps me to oversee the ministry and takes a great load off my shoulders. We can't even name all the missionaries, all the staff that have stood faithfully day in and day out to hold up our hands for the battle and for the victory! Palabra de Vida Church with all the workers, leaders and members has a strong foundation in God's Word, and many outreaches to touch this city, this state and this country with the Good News. We are a team sold out to GOD!
